Who Am I......

Photography is a great way for me to escape from the day-to-day rat race of being an IT Project Manager. It gives me the opportunity to get outdoors and see the sights that are on my doorstep, sights that whizz by without me realising their true beauty. It also allows me to engage with real humans (rather then just being stuck on hours of teleconferences and tapping away at hundreds of e-mails), It allows me engage on a much more personal level!!

I have been a photography hobbyist for approx. 6 years. During this time I have been lucky enough to travel to some great places and capture some amazing moments.

I primarily shoot with a Nikon, but I've also developed a real liking for my Olympus Micro 4/3.

In terms of published work, I have been fortunate enough to have a couple of my images published over the years. My image of Liverpool Waterfront was on the front cover of the Liverpool John Moore's prospectus in 2010/2011. I have also had my photograph of the Burj Al Arab on the front cover of a US publication.

None of this is quite as pleasing though as getting a great portrait image. If you can capture the sparkle and the personality within someones image then you have created something incredible that will last forever.

If by applying my skills I can give 10 people an image they will cherish, allow them to remember the character, the place, and the personality then I have done a pretty good job. That is my goal...
